Dear Stakeholder

The Department of Industry, Innovation and Science is conducting consultations on the Incubator Support initiative announced under the National Innovation and Science Agenda.

The $8 million Incubator Support initiative will grow the next generation of innovative and high performing Australian businesses.

This is a new element of the Entrepreneurs’ Programme that will offer funding support for:

  • New Incubators – supporting the development of new incubators and accelerators in regions or sectors with high innovation potential
  • Existing incubators – boosting the effectiveness of high performing incubators, including funding support to expand their services
  • Expert-in-residence – providing access to top quality research and technical talent through secondments of national or international expert advisers

The Department will be holding consultations at the following locations and time(s) (see below).

We value your input and would like to hear your feedback on the Incubator Support initiative, which is due to open to applications from 1 June 2016.

We are preparing a discussion paper on the initiative that will be available in the coming days.
