Amazon and StartSoc Are Helping Tech Startups
We are pleased to be listed as a leading community in the Amazon Web Services Activate program as a Portfolio Package partner.
This is a real honour to be listed alongside other global organisations helping build the tech startup ecosystem by AWS. Amazon recently ranked number one for the fifth time in the Gartner IaaS Magic Quadrant report. Their share price went nuts as a result not to mention other reports saying their cloud is 10x the size of their next 14 competitors.
$15K Credits for StartSoc Members
This means tech startup members of The Start Society can access significant benefits including thousands of dollars of product and service credits for some of the most advanced scalable technologies in the world and all the tools, advice, education and support services you need to maximise your use in building a world class startup.
Grab the access code from the StartSoc email discussion forum (if you are a starts member already just search for ‘aws deals’ to find the details and take particular note of our AWS code number) and then register with AWS (at aws.amazon.com/activate/portfolio-signup).
You might also like to attend the local AWS meetup to maximise your exposure to the community and maybe even offer to host the next one.
This is the natural continuation of a long relationship with Amazon especially Werner Vogels the Amazon CTO who was hosted in Australia by StartSoc founder Pete Cooper back in 2011 as Fishburners and also UTS when their first Sydney staff member was literally operating out of his kitchen at home and Pete lobbied Werner and his team for years to get AWS to open a local data centre in Sydney which eventually happened and has been a big success in many ways.
